Hi Folks,
great to see new Board up and running. Had problems trying to log onto old one and not being strong on patience , I'm afraid I gave up.

Just letting you all know that my new book, Inside Out , will be in the shops at the end of this month. Saw the first copy of it this week and am really thrilled with it.

So here we go again - all the nerves and angst of will it won't it sell and what will readers think of it. Some crazy way to earn a living but can't think of a more satisfying occupation.

Sounds good, Mary!
Meant to ask you before - are you the same MOS who writes for the Sunday Independent's Life magazine? The features on people's houses?

Hi Shirley,
am answering this at an unearthly hour of the morning because I'm up watching the Presidential Debate. I'll admit to bias. I'm an Obama supporter. Think McCain is more forceful in this debate than previously but equally disagreeable.

No ,Shirley, I'm not that Mary O Sullivan. I'm one of the other hundred thousand Mary O's!

Are you following the American election?

Hi Orna,
thanks for good wishes.
Not having an official launch this time - just letting book creep onto the shelves and hoping for the best. It's a competitive market out there with more titles than ever . Hopefully people will read more to escape the permanent doom and gloom of recession.

Obama surely rocks! Though John McCain had his best debate last night. Think at the end of the day Republicans would be glad to hand their very broke country over to the Dems.

Obamas ancestors supposedly hailed from the same area as my mother - Moneygall in Co. Offaly. Have an item on my website about it. http://www.maryosullivanauthor.ie
Thanks Orna

can't get onto your web site Mary, wishing you the best with the new book!
I'm following the election, Mary, but not closely. Just catching the highlights and soundbites. I'm from 2 miles away from Moneygall originally, small world! Just inside the Tipp border.

Can't get onto your site either, unfortunately!

Hi Shirley,
well! There's coincidence! My mother was Ryan -what else- from Moneygall village. Her parents were Phillip and Brigid Ryan . I still visit occasionally as I have cousins still living there. It's a great place - a small close-knit community and a hot-bed of hurling! Do you go there much?

That's a nuisance about web site. Will check it out .

Congrats on the new book Mary, and the best of luck. Do you know when it might be released in Aust?
I'm following the American elections too, and have been watching the debates live on TV here. Very interesting.
I admire McCain for his past history in the forces and o/seas war contributions etc, but I worry about his age being high in numbers and his heir apparent is less than desirable as President, although I'd love to see a female President at last.
Not a keen supporter of Obama either..there is just something about the guy... and his wife too if I'm honest.....but he looks to be the better choice on most points.
I hope whoever gets in will do the best for USA, as what they do, effects all of us in the long run.
Anyway, good luck again with the book...how exciting for you!! Yaaaaaay.
Hi Mary, I don't go to Moneygall much as I am never down the Tipp way these days. I have a good friend from Moneygall, surname of O'Meara, so she'd be the only avenue from where I'd hear anything about what's going on down there these days!

Let us know when the site is back up and running, and we'll have a good look around!
