Hi girls, I thought I would be the first to start the 'just chatting' thread. I'm getting dizzy trying to go back to the old one, then to this nice clean fresh looking new one!
Have been home alone for the past week as Tim has gone to Vietnam on a business conference. So far he has already had one flight cancelled from Saigon to Hanoi and can't get thru on the phones, and he was bumped by a passing madman on a motorcycle causing him to fall bum first into the gutter, so it's going well I can tell! He's due home early next week.
In the meantime I have been reading (dur!), doing a spot of writing but I must confess not as much as I should be - I blame emails for that. I get so many from friends, and then I just HAVE to reply and so on.
I should go to the new house and weed round the conifers and cut away the lower branches in the hope they grow a bit faster. I've done 45 of them and have 20 to go...if only I wasn't feeling lazy!
Most of my visitors from Perth have gone home or moved on but I have another, my fave relly, Steven coming next week for 3 whole weeks. We will have lots of laughs together...he's a hoot...he's 20 going on 50 I'm sure.
Found a blog site called Journospace which looks interesting, but still toying with the idea of creating my own website. Hmmm, decisions, decisions.
Anyway girls, it's nice to chat again. Hope you are all well and fit and not too cold yet...the summer isn't here in Vic yet and judging by the recent temps, I think ours is a long way off yet. It has been a scary week with the big financial crashes and all I can say is, I'm glad I have no money invested anymore to lose!! I should be thankful the new house has been such a money pit I guess. Lol.

hiya jo, well its def winter here, its cold wet & miserable...bought keina a new winter coat this morning..got great bargain on it.reduced from E17 to E8...got her a size 9-10 as the 7-8 looked very small......the kids just keep growing on me...lol......she went back to school today after her bad dose of the cold..she wasnt too bad, least she'd stopped coughing....thank god today is fri...got a few dvds & snacks for tonight so just going veg out in front of the tv......[/align]

We've had a good week weather wise, a bit nippy but dry. Kids will be back in school on Monday and Hein back in work, and I have my house to myself! Eating chips tonight, keeping it real easy. Trying to get some reading done but not getting more than a couple of pages read at a time.

It's great to hear from you Jo, get Stephen to help with the trees!

Although this week has gone fairly quickly, I'm still really glad it's the weekend. I'm planning on having a really lazy weekend, where by I don't even plan on leaving the house. I'm going to dedicate the next two days to my TBR pile!

hi all yea I plan to veg around this weekend in my jammies, I have been flat out this past 2 weks or so and also been up til wee small hours writing, also need to do some housework before someone thinks i live in a hovel, which is what it is starting to look like! btw can we not see last posts now without logging on? this is all very strange still! have an nice weekend girls, i'm going to have a little bacardi now and just chill out in front of telly.... hugs and kisses to all ....oxoxo

well I'm at work this weekend just 4 hours two on sat morning two on sunday not moaning just pleased to have a job really and need the little extra, looking forward to X Factor see what they have to offer this week.

Well we had a quiet weekend...it was so wet & windy, we had gale force winds...we were supposed to go into the childrens Aishling festival..its a 2week long festival with lots of activites going on for kids and the open day was yesterday but its outdoors so we didnt bother leaving the house it was just too cold....there are some circus entertainers coming to keinas school on thurs so that should be fun...manda is coming home on wed...yay....just for a few days..cant wait to see her...so shes coming to the circus and so is keith as he is off from college on wed for a week.... mine are all off next week so im sooooooooooo looking forward to the break...not having to get up at 7am for a whole week...ahhh bliss........

God girls isn't this weather just awful! gales and rain can't even go for a walk to clear the cobwebs..so my solution is instead of going for a walk I lie on top of the bed with my cosy throw and get comfy and read...although that will change next week as my lot are of for a week as well angie next week for halloween...going to put decorations up this week..and have already eaten a bag of monkey nuts....I love them. girls do you have any halloween recipes maybe we could start a thread for holiday recipes and share them...what you think?

Yep the weather is really bad at the moment. Although there is something really nice and comforting about being snuggled up in bed with a comfy pair of PJs on and a mug of hot chocolate while reading a good book with the wind and rain blowing a gale outside.
