Hi new member here, really love the feel of this site and great to find some fellow reader/writers! I call myself a desperate writer as I am desperate to be published! Have been trying for years and rejected by possibly every publisher under the sun but am going to keep at it no matter what! I write what I think is suspence chicklit in that it's not so much love and relationships (although there is plenty of that) but there are also the odd bit of blood and guts thrown in too! My influences are Karin Slaughter and Erica Spindler etc although I loved to read chicklit too and think the Irish authors are the some of the best, love the humor of Marian Keyes and Melissa Hill for her twisty plots which are right up my street!

I like a bit of suspense here and there though, and your description of your books reminds me of the TV show Rosemary and Thyme....it's a good twisty type story with a bit of suspense, murder, love and humour all mixed up.

thank you for introducing yourself - now I want to know more! How long have you been writing? It takes a looong time to get published (well for me anyway). You are in good company here. The consolation is that longer we're trying to get published the better our writing is going to be. I've been at it for six years and have had stories published but no novel, as yet.
I'm glad you like Irish authors. I love Marion Keyes too - she's bril!

Thanks for the really warm welcome guys! Megan, I hear ya, I've been at it for almost five years now and have written three different books, all of which I'm very proud of...unforutnatley nobody else seems to feel the same way! Congrats on having stories published, I haven't got that far!
